ADMI’s Foundation Certificate in Photography prepares you for the creative, conceptual and technical demands of a career as a photographer or multimedia practitioner. Using our state-of-the-art cameras, you will learn to light, shoot, edit and print photos. The course also exposes you to various genres of photography and teaches you to tell stories using photography.

 

COURSE SCHEDULE: Students will receive up to 120 Hours of Classroom theoretical and hands-on practical instruction. 6 hours per week for 20 weeks. Another 4 weeks will be given for student to produce a final project.

Learning Outcomes

Upon successful completion of the Photography course, you will be able to:

  • Operate industry-standard cameras in order to capture still and motion-based images
  • Apply effective lighting techniques in natural, artificial and mixed lighting
  • Use Lightroom and Adobe Photoshop to edit and enhance images
  • Apply appropriate techniques for different genres of photography, including portraiture, documentary, and commercial

A photographer takes captions, processes and prints photographs. A photographer will make money from the display, sale or use of these photographs. For example, a news photographer or photojournalist can have an art exhibition on various human conflicts that he’s covered. A commercial photographer will take images of a product that will accompany the marketing material. Photographers work within strict production timelines.

Education

Applicant Must have the WASSCE/SSSCE certificate or working experience for not less than one year.Applicant must have a proof of their working experience.
